I feel as though writers pre-Flynn don't get enough credit for some of the attention to detail they brought into their game adaptations
Remember Silver Sonic v2.0 being a small detail in Adventure 1? He gets put to full use in Archie's adaptations of that game, and even later https://t.co/GBSFetthDU
I firmly stand by the sentiment that Archie is the best Sonic continuity. It's practically the melting pot for all Sonic canons, referencing the OVA to adapting stuff from SatAM to having adaptations of stuff like SA1, Knuckles' Chaotix, Black Knight, Colors, so on.
One thing that really grinds my gears is when people say a different incarnation of a character who has a completely different history than their source material is "out-of-character"
Different versions of a character should have the flexibility to do their own thing, and you---
In short, I feel he plays off him the best.
That, and his scheming after years and years of taking Robotnik's shit, to the point of killing Eggman via tampering with the UA? It all adds up to make one of my favorite Sonic villains as well as my favorite Eggman subordinate ever
Snively is my favorite Eggman "right-hand man"/servant
Whereas Orbot and Cubot make Eggman look like comedic relief, and Starline makes Eggman look like an imbecile, Snively and his dynamic with Ivo portray Eggman as a scary threat and genuinely awful person to work with.
I like how there's an artstyle swap between each of the Shantae games. Not to the point where it gets jarring but instead charming
Haven't posted about it in awhile so appreciation post for my third favorite game of all time
