So after much violence the head is finally looking better :)

Getting so stressed with Blender. When I joined the ear to the head, I made sure it was symmetrical before I saved it, but upon opening the file it is no longer mirrored. Uggggh. I can't find a simple way to unjoin it, even though sculpt mode recognises it as a separate object.

She wants you to chase her, but you probably can't catch her!
