And speaking of The Owl House, it was actually drawing art for that Percy Jackson Owl House AU concept that convinced me to commit to this simpler ear style.

As for why I committed to these stylised ears in the first place...

It's The Owl House. I borrowed from how The Owl House stylises ears. That show has really made me feel more comfortable with drawing simpler stylised art in general.

So lately I have just rejected the need to draw the inside of the ears in full detail, and I have just fully committed to stylising them. (see comparison, left vs. right)

Simplifying is good for your health sometimes!
