@AppuruGumi At least I know other Sega franchises... I just wish they'd use more of the ones that have been dormant for years.
@Destructo_Dan Lost World's art direction honestly ain't that good. On a technical level, it's impressive with it's high polycount, but when you look at it for what it is - It's just flat and bland. It's like the NSMB art style the Mario series inherited for most of the early 2010's.
Things that classicist elitists took away from us with their stranglehold influence.
Two of these were only MIA/ruined for a brief time, while two others are still just gone...
Granted, it's easier to tell what game is part of this specific era when Roll is there. lol
The games from the late 90's to early 2000's (along with cameo/guest appearances) shared somewhat of a similar style. It was also prominent in the first two Marvel Vs. Capcom games.
@ogilphone Doesn't look any weirder than this, IMO.
Mega Man 8 has such an underappreciated aesthetic that I really wish stuck. I never understood why people had any issues with it.
@KingGeoshi64 This along with SSB Melee's take on the Fire Flower are probably my favorite designs.
Games that actually do deserve to be treated like masterpieces.
