I watched the first season of "The Owl House", which I found an imaginative fantasy series and a fun spin on the magic school concept (my biggest laugh came from a dig at Quidditch). I thought Amity's development was particularly well handled.

Peter Sohn has played a key role in helping to craft some of Pixar's most beloved films, starting with "Finding Nemo", while also proving a skill at directing under pressure. I'm excited to see him tell a story that's very personal to him with "Elemental."

Recently started watching "Big City Greens" and this is a hilarious show. Takes the simple premise of a rural family moving to the big city and finds many creative and funny avenues. Paul Scheer as a ridiculous owner of an organic supermarket is a highlight.

Finished watching "Amphibia." This show does a great job of building its world and mythology, while nicely developing the characters and putting them in many creative, funny and sweet situations.

Thank you to and the entire team for taking us there

What's an animated movie based on a television series you think deserved a theatrical release?

I vote for the two "Phineas and Ferb" movies (although I do know the first was released in Spain on the big screen).

Even as someone who likes the franchise, I have often wondered what they would have been like if they retained the tone established by the original concept art displayed in the first film's end credits.

Next month is going to be a good month for streaming animated series.

I caught up with Season 3 of "DuckTales." This is a wonderful show that takes Scrooge McDuck and his family on so many fantastic adventures, while also serving as a lovely tribute to the Disney Afternoon. The designs and animation are amazing, too.

For all of their faults story and continuity-wise, I do feel the animation in the Disney direct-to-video sequels did improve with the artists staying faithful to the look of the theatrical films. I don't think they get enough credit for that.

I love that each of 's shows manage to have his fingerprints all over them, yet also sport a distinct visual design that make each look unique. He has never made the same show twice.
