Day 28 - Tenrec
• Tenrecs are diverse in appearance; due to convergent evolution, some look like hedgehogs.
They differ from hedgehogs in that hedgehogs roll into a ball and hiss at potential predators, while tenrecs will unroll, attack and bite.

Day 25 - Hapalemur
• Aloatran bamboo lemur is endemic to the shores of Lake Alaotra in northeastern Madagascar. The species is critically endangered, threatened by destruction of its habitat converted to rice fields, the pet trade and hunting.

Day 23 - Phaner
•The pale fork-marked lemur is a nocturnal primate, which lives in the dry Western forests of Madagascar. The species is easily distinguished from the other lemurs by the fork-marked black strips that extend from the head to the back.

• The Hairy-eared dwarf lemur is unquestionably among the rarest of surviving lemurs. It's a very small nocturnal species.
Deforestation and destruction of its habitat are the main threats to the species.

Day 18 - Malagasy Bat
• The Madagascar flying fox is threatened by loss of habitat, traditional medicine and hunting.
These bats fly and disperse seeds and pollinate flowers, ensuring the regeneration of plants and the forest.

17 - Greater Bamboo Lemur
• One of the only species of lemur who sees its population increased thanks to Helpsimus association.
Since 2014, the population has been multiplied by 2.4 in their conservation area reaching a number of 550 individuals in 2020.

• The Malagasy giant jumping rat is the largest rodent native to Madagascar.
The species is threatened by deforestation, disease, the introduction of invasive species and predation by dogs and cats.

• Woolly lemurs are part of the Indridae family, which also includes indris and sifakas.
The Sambirano woolly lemur is critically endangered, the species is very poorly known, the main threat is hunting and deforestation.
