Pine nymph, for ancient!

I was amazed that the oldest living pine tree, Pinus Longeva, is around 5500 , years old! Even tho it is not the oldest, the way it looks like just inspired me so much.

I wanted to do something aquatic. Like a seashell guarding its treasure, a pearl. But to stay in my own theme, I had to translate that idea into nymphs.

The Laurel Nymph.

By using an obvious wreath shape I tried to hint the laurel tree it is made from to reference a certain legend about the nymph Daphne and The sun god Apollo.
