I based this character off of Chara. Back when undertale came out, they were my favorite character. I was mostly drawn to how Chara's hair was drawn in most fanart, and the idea of an extremly dangerous child looked like fun to work with lol

For characters that wield swords, like Hero and Marth, I was thinking of turning the hilt of their swords into their duel disks. Or just do what Arc-V did.

@DogeDude256 the DS titles had duelists you could customize too. a lot of the outfits were based on other characters, but with these you could get a general gist of the fashion behind 5D's

painting practice
i've been observing how some artists work, and i wanted to try what they did. They seem to use a paint brush to sketch, then erase it? All the lines were done on one layer so it's less stuff to think about
