When Moon became crystal, her bug mind released into the link. There it became sentient and created a body through a healing pod

The island was discovered by a former geologist, Curie Point, who decided to turn the place into a resort in hopes of bringing ponies together and making friends.
But she wasn't good at making friends, even with her employees.

After a long journey they discover a village hidden in the frozen mountains. To their further surprise it is populated by Nightmares. They meet the matriarch Reverie who tells them they avoided full banishment if they remained secluded as part of an agreement.

Forgot to post Queen Melody. The Watcher who lives in the realm of eternal sunlight.

While this allowed them to escape just barely, Moon would find herself emotionless and soon after, she would experience a very profound change.

Moon and Medli would make a horrible discovery in the Everfree, creatures made of the forest, speaking of only returning what was lost. They would be The Lost.
Rumors of ponies disappearing assumed to become them, wanting their bodies back. Almost zombie-like, but formidable.

With the help of Medli, her friends, and family the Nightmare would be banished away again.

Soon after another being would appear to her in a dream. At first thought to be her conscience it would turn out she was real and her name was Elysium.

Of course other creatures would try to use this to their advantage. Particularly the Nightmares (in this case they were a banished race, not to the moon but a lower dimension). Picking at and growing Moon's insecurities until one could take hold, changing her.

Moon and Medli would eventually fall in love as their adventures brought them closer together. Of course their relationship would have their own troubles but they would eventually seal their bond in marriage
