@ghostbunbun i can't really dislike the wisps since they *did* sorta indirectly give us whisper
@ghostbunbun they could make 'em like neo metal sonic to differentiate 'em from shadow's spikes!
when sonic and tails go into the past to get MAIA's help with the crystal map, they happen upon whisper. she helps the two of them with getting the map, and *particularly* with beating up lyric(possibly almost trashing the map)
not only does she keep her cloak, but i could also style her mask around the ancients' technology, and possibly turn her wispon into some kind of ancient weapon
whisper wears a cloak, and has some technological weaponry on her side!
so, my idea is to make whisper one of the ancients.
maybe a far-out idea considering the fact that boom!tangle is staying in the present but bear with me
