11 Years ago today my best friend, Char Giacomino passed away. Char and I were friends (more like sisters) since the 4th grade. That was 50+ years at her passing. Each year I miss my "sister" more and more.

Wonderful artist Bob Bode painted a portrait of me for the series he is doing of Columbia High School alums. There will be a show planned at the East Greenbush Library in the near future. Thank you, Bob! Some ofBob’s paintings can be seen at the Town Hall.

A wonderful day at the Star Trek Original Series Set Tours with my friend Claudia Dentzer. We also visited Fort Ticonderoga. We spent the day in the 23rd Century, 18th Century and the present. Claudia and I are time travelers!

Interesting drawing of Leonard Nimoy on Deviant Art. The one of Spock is super good. It's also on Deviant Art. I can't make out the artist's names on either one.

I wasn't satisfied w/ my latest illustration. I thought the watercolor brush strokes made the sky too busy. I used artist's pens to even out color texture of the sky & cropped the illustr. to center the action more. I think these changes make an improvement. Compare the 2 photos.

Working in graphite w/ a new to me paper. A tan paper. I’m using a highlighter Derwent Chinese White pencil that I have not used before. This man does not exist. I’m drawing his face from my imagination & only using photo references for his regalia. Let’s see how it goes.
