Albert Bierstadt's "Domes of the Yosemite," now on view, reconnects the Morse to St. Johnsbury, VT. Horace Fairbanks of E. & T. Fairbanks & Company there gave the 1867 painting to the he founded. Charles Hosmer Morse, our namesake, worked with Fairbanks.
