I Live in Fear feels like a companion film to Ikiru in a lot of ways. Mifune is astonishingly convincing as an old man, but I kind of wish he and Shimura had swapped roles. I get why it's not considered top-shelf Kurosawa, but some brilliant moments and that haunting ending.

I had a great time talking with @Arzachary and @WMassLiberty about the films and work of one-of-a-kind artist Satoshi Kon.
Trust me, this is an episode of Flixwise: CANADA you're not going to want to miss!

I had a great time discussing a trio of Slavic folk horror films with @colebrax on the latest episode of @WrongReel. Be sure to give it a listen and hear us talk about witches, vampires, and monsters!
