Playing Goodbye Great Justice back in le day is really what made me fall in love with VIPRPGs. They pack so much incredibly entertaining and emotionally powerful experiences with their short 5~ hour runtimes. It's a sight to be hold; they are PEAK ART.

Maintaining such a crushingly dark atmosphere while simultaneously being funny, energetic, and optimistic is what really marks Tanchi's games as a creator. He takes the fun-loving VIPRPG soul and never forgets it. Everything he makes is so fun and well-balanced.

The series starts with カマソッソの誕生 which is basically a Mr Bean style comedy where Camazotz, the Bat God of All Evil, is summone to the surface of the planet with none of her powers; she's mistaken for an esteemed professor, and a comedy of errors ensues as destroys art.

Ascendance of a Bookworm Part 3 Volume 2 is now being posted to J-Novel. This is pretty hype for me since this is one of my favorite volumes of the series, personally speaking. It goes in a places that (imo) I found pretty unique and interesting, so I'm excited to bring it over.

Finished Saihate no Ima / 最果てのイマ. Wow, what a work. By far the most insightful and intelligent work I've read in a long, long time. It feels almost insane that someone wrote it in 2005, because it captures modern 2020 life in the Information Age perfectly.

And so, on this auspicious Sunday afternoon, I have finished translating Ascendance of a Bookworm Part 2 Volume 4. In many ways this is the most significant milestone in the series, for it is quite the paradigm shift. I feel accomplished, though the journey is far from over.

Finished the Dogma Series. Whew lad, where do I even fucking begin? This is in absolutely wild series that goes into deeper and darker places than almost anything I've encountered before. It's just... an absolute experience, for lack of a better word.

Finished Oretsuba / 俺たちに翼はない . I wasn't completely sold at the start, but by the end I fully understood why this is such a legendary game. In this game Jackson weaves a beautiful world with beautiful characters and makes something truly special.

Finished Erumani / えるまに. Legends tell of a 100~ hour long SRPG kamige of immense proportions ( 闇鍋企画 ) and I would like to play it. However, it's a crossover between every game the developer has made, so I'll need to go through them first - starting with Erumani.
