It’s so funny to me that the artists who made these two pieces were cousins who shared the same name. I wonder if they had any of the same weird wealthy patrons. And were they friends?!

One thing that I really like about how these scarves are made is that the illustration is printed on both sides of the silk. This way, there’s no faded “wrong” side of the scarf — it looks beautiful and vibrant from every angle.
