Keep seeing this being shared everywhere and everyone raving about it. Discovered it on my Library app so it's my next read. #TBRPile 📚
Tis the spooky season! So thought I'd post this again. Final image, rough and the mock cover idea I did. #illustration
A bit of colour work today before moving back onto b&w stuff. #sneakpeek #WIP
Congrats Charlene! And thanks for the tag @timbudgen. Here's a few of mine. I won't tag anyone else as I think all my faves have been tagged. #kidlitart 🦄 https://t.co/yNUm5iKlTz
I thought I'd share a few bits from the inside. I've tried to be as inclusive as possible. There's even a girl with a birthmark on her face like me.
Now vs 2013.
From my first fiction book vs my first EVER published book which was a picture book called 'Puppy Love'. Those hands! 😂#artjourneyshare https://t.co/4ZuB0RrOU0
We got rid of the cauldron and made them look out towards the reader instead. Which makes it a lot creepier I think!
Hope you've enjoyed seeing a little bit of how I work and just how neat my roughs tend to be 🤣
The final characters on the cover are the Witches. They had to look sneaky and mischievous but also a bit creepy. With messy tangled hair and grubby aprons.
The feedback was to zoom in and make him look more fierce and wild. I was happy with the end result!
There's an illo of the werewolves in the book which drove me crazy trying to get right. It took me an entire day! So please spend some time looking at it 🤣
