August 2018 vs. January 2019

it's positively heccin' wild to see how my art's gotten a bit better composed in the span of only a few months. no major details have changed about my tiefling witch's design, but the second pic still feels much truer to how i picture her in my head

the OG drawing i did of my tiefling witch had kinda swoopy, heavy-lidded fluttershy-shaped eyes. i wanted to try and preserve that when drawing an update to her look, but she came our looking so much shadier and scheme-y than she actually is lool

well, i did an art summary last year, figured i'd see if i did enough art to do another one this year. it's wild seeing how the way i drew faces improved over this year. i feel like i've also improved in the way of picking color palettes

how about the games give her this one she has in the anime, for starters?

i like how my first drawing of my tiefling, i tried to draw her tail fluff with kinda-sorta-realistic shape and movement, but by now i'm like "no, it's a giant mass of floof that not-so-subtly has heart shapes incorporated into it. that's canon babey"
