i think spark man shouldn't have, like, a human face. it's one of its things they couldn't really fit on the sprite and the idea of it as one giant BLOCK of metal with eyes on it helps add to the idea of "industrially designed robot with armored body" energy it makes for me

the fact that we generally know the mega man timeline also lets you do funky stuff like this, where a character of some note from a sequel series hundreds of years later gives a lecture on the history thats the story around what we see lol. fun
