so i guess the idea in victory is that the earth federation really has finally begun succeeding at repairing some environmental damage or something, or at least supposedly is - the zanscare seem to say they're saving earth from polluting overlords, maybe the lack of wars help

Because the FIRST weapon in the series to truly perform a separated all-range attack is the Elmeth, which uses its "bits". The Bits are very distinctive and weird looking. I like them though, I think those are supposed to be maneuvering thrusters, maybe?
