@prayanimal it's funny too in the anime because they changed the line a little bit to add yoku behind the second iterations of the words, since otherwise they'd sound identical (which i think could still work but would be a bit confusing conceptually maybe)

YES ep 8 has pacing issues and YES ep 8 probably has a better manga ver and YES ep 8 doesn't answer some of the most important flaws in the story and YES ep 8 is ridiculously cheesy and YES it feels a bit unnecessary in parts but it has this moment so who can say if its rly bad
