Two landscape paintings on board for you this evening on one post (+ a divider) by Mark McMurdie. 59x13 and 33cm x 11.
Mark is newest artist to the gallery, and these little beauties of which we have six, I think provide a natural counterpoise.
Shafts of light breaking through at 45°. A series of close-ups of one of the over 30 paintings which presently reside in the gallery for the solo exhibition by Kate Bentley SWA until 11May. #Keswick #LakeDistrict #art #trees #woods
@maria_burton_art kindly brought in four new paintings, this being the largest canvass 96cm sq. Now to be found hanging on the middle layer of the NLG as we continue our rehang.
Patricia Haskey brought several framed prints into the gallery this week. If you know Patricia's watercolours you will know that the mounting, framing, photography & printing for these prints is all done in-house. And it's faultless, much as is her painting.
Maria Burton Art This evening, we have begun the Hang. Stay tuned as likely the solo exhibition will open to the public from Monday, 31st. William Shakespeare bowl and Chris Hawkins Potter Raku vase, stool by @jamiechaplinbrice.
Chris Hankey @doms598 came in to the @NLightsGallery this afternoon, dropped off his first two (of three) striking acrylics. 1. Sunrise from Green Gable 24x30' and 2) Sunrise with Venus from Scafell. 24x30 inches @NotJustLakes @VisitBritain @lakedistrictnpa @KeswickTourism

@mounseyc Chris Mouncey kindly came in today to add two new paintings (Newlands Valley and Martindale 1V) to his "wall" as his Catbells & Causey Pike had travelled south to Haywards Heath earlier in the week.
We have moved two of @clivemouncey paintings, square (17 ' inc' frame, 10' internal) lots of detail yet soft and dreamlike as only watercolour can be. Very delicate brushstrokes, highly evocative in execution, these needed an "airing" downstairs to my mind.
