#257: Father Christmas (1991)

It's fair to say that a lot of what makes me, well... me...comes from this adaptation. The idea of a working-class Santa remains as novel as ever & just as charming. Raymond Briggs and Mel Smith created a memory that'll last forever.

It's been a long time since I sat down and watched this from beginning to end, but it's just as perfect as I remember it being. Hits a lil' different this year though, what with us losing the original author Raymond Briggs.

I'd hoped this would end the year on a good note and it's basically done that and more. Prime has exceeded my expectations by doing a lot with a little, with great action, characterization and humour.

2022 is Sonic's year.
