@ryanestrada @SimuLiu I want to do more of my dream job! I would absolutely love to see my upcoming illustrated novel series picked up by a publishing house. And since we are reaching high, a blurb from the person who is my inspiration to become an author @BrandSanderson! 💜
Exciting news!! This coming September I will be an exhibiting artist at @LightBoxExpo ✨

Throwback to a foxdragon piece I still love. I've not held onto many original illustrations over the years but this one is one I've kept hanging over my workspace as a window into the world that I'm building.
Do you keep the work that you create?
This piece celebrates not only the places books let us escape to but also the smaller, simpler things - clouds moving lazily through the sky, sounds of a brook babbling through a field, the small things we surround ourselves with.

@ImRachelBradley I heard "environments with lines" so I am here! 😁 A few recent ones for inspiration
@EmaLaineAuthor Ah I love escaping to Hawaii for writing!
My book series is set in a tropical fantasy world inspired by Oceana & South East Asia.
A quick linework color test from #naiyaandthefoxdragon.
I knew early on that I wanted a few "setting" type illustrations like this throughout the book. I can almost smell the heavy mix of scents just thinking about it.
Throwback to one of the few pieces I created on cradled wood.
In order to paint onto wood without the watercolor going everywhere, I first had to seal it with a clear coat (actually several) of watercolor ground. Then, on top of that, I could carefully layer my paint.
The morning sun crept through the leaves, glinting, and sparkling over Naiya's sleepy eyes. Here among the banyan's many branches, curled up next to Aru's furry sleeping form, she felt safe and at peace.
"The Banyan Tree"
"Ora shone below in the morning light, a towering metropolis built up and around a massive pillar of stone. Naiya had never seen such a beautiful place! Emotions welled up in her chest as the thoughts came tumbling forth. Was this truly to be her new home?"
