Henry VII, the merciful king? After victory at Stoke Field, Henry did not execute, imprison or even punish the nominal leader of the conspiracy, Lambert Simnel. Instead he gave him a job, first in the kitchens and then as a hawker. Not a bad outcome for the 'false boy king'.
