I wish we could know how much #BlackCanary in 1947 was inspired by #VeronicaLake, and THE BLUE DAHLIA (1946). The film which, in turn, went on to be what gave the tragic but sensational name to the Black Dahlia murders.

#BirdsOfPrey rewatch and I never realised that #BlackCanary (played by the awesome @jurneesmollett ) has a long history of being associated with convertibles! I always thought of her firing up on two-wheels, but this? This little detail is SO rewarding to rewatches!

(Tbf the suggestive imagery involving weapons did balance out with exploding phallic missiles and such, but Ares was a perv.)
