First steel was cut today for 4th Type 26 frigate, HMS Birmingham @BAES_Maritime in Glasgow today.
HMS Birmingham is 1st of the 5 batch II ships which should be built faster and be cheaper than the 3 batch I ships.

Three F-35 Squadrons are to be designated RAF. A fourth will be Fleet Air Arm badged - 809 Naval Air Squadron.
