Hüftschuss or snapshot was a close quarter firing position from rifle held on hip level, soldier can trust rifle forward for bayonet attack..

Holding rifle in the right hand allow for quick snapshot, bayonet trust and to perform "Hinlegen"(Lay down), also easier to revert their stance to parade drill position.

For those who drawing or reenacting German soldier. You are not operator, learn how to hold your rifle properly.

Painting camo pattern on the pant was very time consuming, so I skip it. Really want to make another art book.
