Detective noir crossed with your typical super robot show, with some "symbolism wrapped in metaphor" for big mystery heads. It's no wonder the west grabbed this one, it's even stylized like the Batman cartoons of the era.

I think its really fun that the Valsione looks like a Mega Man X reploid but also its so weird looking against stuff like Cybuster and Granzon, not to mention Zakus and stuff.
