Thanks to #DragonBallZ trending, I recalled that the ever comedic Jaco was designed after the Ultramen as well, even performing the iconic "Rise" on this cover. But that's not unique to Jaco, there's been plenty of media that homage to the classic "Rise".

Cutter Kirby's a direct reference to Ultraseven, right down to to having a slugger to slice up his opponents. Though Kirby's hat is much cuter than Seven's. (Yah'll gonna fight me on this aren't you?)

Speaking of Capsule Monsters, Ultraseven's Capsule Kaiju was one of the main inspirations for the Pokemon franchise. Many of the Pokemon in the games are references and homage to a few Ultra Kaiju, or the Ultramen themselves.
