As the fight commences, prior to then, Alexis Kerib assumed a new giant form much like Khan Digifer did. Alexis here sports a Kill La Kill Style outfit with a pair of blades alluding to the Scissor Blades.

Almost along the way, Anti runs off to confront Zegga and in the process, undergoes what many Ultra fans call a "Rise". Folding his arms, as a shout out to the famous "Gainax Pose", but originally, it was a pose started by Getter Dragon, from one of Anno's favorite anime.

Zegga was designed by Mahiro Maeda, who's done creature designs in Gamera 2+3, Shin Godzilla, Ultraman Powered, and Neon Genesis Evangelion. Below is his concept art of the monster.

Tonight's #SSSS_GRIDMAN kaiju is Zegga, The Self-Entrapment Monster. As was stated by Alexis Kerib, this is the form of Akane Shinjo changed into a kaiju. It's roar, like the others, is Akane's VA, in this case, @severelylindsay 's agonized screaming filtered into a roar.
