Will be updating my final Steam Next Fest opinions tomorrow, but in the meantime, the RetroAchievements News Magazine also published a few hours ago! You can read my monthly segment (This Month in Retro) over here: https://t.co/HEcU21kj3f
It's a GBA special by the way :D
46) Brain Lord
Had this game on my to-play list for a while and finally got to it. Overall a pretty neat overlooked adventure RPG with some challenging puzzles to boot. Sometimes a bit archaic, but that's occasionally to be expected with games from this period.
41) Drifters
Took me some time to get in to but I liked it, mostly because the 3 Japanese main characters are really good. Would like a second season for sure :)
@antdude92 @HeyRaguio @KevinFagaragan Always good to see more ham-ham love <3
16) Umiro
I am pretty much completely unaffected by deep sobbing stories which Umiro basically is, so that part was already irrelevant to me. And ignoring that, we have... a decent puzzle game. It's alright, but I can't say I really enjoyed myself playing this.
12) Iconoclast
While I wasn't the biggest fan of the Metroidvania-aspect because of no indication when something is underground, everything else about it was really good--especially the story! And Robin's upgrades being weapons instead of mobility was a fresh change of pace.
I was asked during stream what games I'm looking forward to in 2022 and I surprisingly didn't have many answers. Either no release date is confirmed, or it's a sequel to a series that I'm interested in, but haven't played yet.
So far, my list is Kirby, Sonic and all the indies
Sooo #Twitch gave affiliates more emoji slots. Very generous, except that I was literally just done with commissioning emojis for followers xD. Well, couldn't resist myself, so here's the next (and for a while) final batch of emoji commissions!
