I Do enjoy later chapter "pretty boy" johnny but I LOVE early sbr johnny. The lip snarls and the attitude!!! I don't hate later part sbr style but I always really liked Araki's early 2000s art style

I have a suspicion as to why there's so many ugly characters in jojolion. I know Araki isn't "online" but I'm guessing that someone pointed out the "sameface" syndrome from late SBR and so to diferentiate and explore realism, Araki drew more rough looking characters.

The transition between these two volumes feels like one of the biggest leaps between Araki art styles since Part 4. Something happened this year (2006) that made Araki update to more realistic proportions.

Wonder if it had something to do with the Rohan at the Louvre?
