This is one of the saddest things about #dnd5e. Feats are super cool and not always powerful. Making them compete against ASI's makes the tier 2 feats so hard to play.

Consider letting your players get both a feat and ASI! Or use feats, especially the weaker ones, as rewards!

I have now run this system with two different player groups and it has lead to great roleplay and saved session time!
