@BenRenaut It comes from a few things. The implied mouth opening adds a bit of visual interest while also allowing for the iconic "Batman Beak" to work. It also helps makes it visually unique from several of the other previous full coverage alternate Batman masks from Bat History.

And it makes me so happy to see Riddler finally get his due.

It's been sad to see a character with such rich potential be treated like a joke for decades.

I've got a bucket of crazy Riddler concepts just waiting for the right time...
