Krystal's had it rough. Her game was stolen from her, she never found out what killed her parents/entire blue fox subspecies, the fanbase calls her personality/voice annoying (but seems to like her body just fine), she gets rejected by society and becomes a miserable edgelord.

I will never forgive Star Fox Command for destroying the 64 timeline. Multiple endings are one thing, but these are ENDINGS. Characters retiring and settling down. Was there really NOWHERE ELSE to go after Assault? No new adventures to be had? This game destroyed the 64 timeline.

@CyanMachination @MelSternum @stuartsayger I dunno, I try to structure mine sorta like manga in terms of paneling and space. Western comics are often congested, feeling... abbreviated. In manga, they'll dedicate entire panels, entire pages to each solitary gesture or expression. It's like reading a storyboard.

@Teteck4 I mean.... the white space is kinda what makes that illustration of Minnow work. Just look how dramatic that is. It's like she's ascended.

I hesitate to differentiate my merfolk from humans with behaviors that "evolved" along a different path. I mean... they did, it's like comparing Pakicetus to Ambulocetus. But I've always been worried that if they ACT differently than us, it'll reinforce racist narratives/tropes.

(minor spoilers) I usually opt for "show, don't tell," but on a rare occasion telling can be used to build suspense. At this point, we haven't seen Minnow since the climax, and we're wondering, agonizingly, what state she must be in as Dani tells us about her PTSD.
