@DynamoSuper Isn't the first time they used that name. In the early 2000's they concidered do it as a aimed for kids animated show. There some concept art out there. It's pretty much what you would expect from that time period.

OK seriously hear me out on this, Blathers has you collect Fossils for the museum, right? Animal Corssing New Horizon is on a Island and we already saw other characters with new clothes on, so how awesome would it be if Blathers was dressed like John Hammond? It fits so well!!!

Don't you love when people complain about Ash's 'New Voice Actress', when, as much as I loved Veronica Taylor, Sarah Natochenny has been doing his voice for MUCH longer, and it's been, what over 10 years ago. New is not the right word. Side Node, Sarah does a great job IMO
