Once he pranked a meditating sage & in fury, the sage curses Hanuman to forget the vast majority of his powers. The curse remains into effect, until he is reminded of his powers in his adulthood.
Reminds me of Luffy's awakening.

Hanumaan as a devotee and companion of Lord Rama went to the City of Gold "Sir Lanka"(read WANO) to defeat the Rakshasa/Oni "Ravana" (read Kaido) and save Lord Rama's wife, Sita who was kidnapped by Ravana.
Hanumaan had also put Sri Lanka on fire.

Luffy's "Bajrang Gun" is based on "Bajrang Bali"/"Hanumaan", a Monkey God worshipped in Hinduism.
The Chinese Monkey King is also based on him.
Son of Wind God "Pavandev", who tried to eat the Sun during his childhood. Is immortal, & known as the strongest creature to ever live.
