And that's my re-read of Sonic the Comic done. It's goofy, it's very British, it wasn't always great but I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Here's the first and last panels of the comic itself.

Knuckles Metallix is dope

Sort-of-a-callback-but-not-really

>Knuckles needs a new Master Emerald so he travels to an ancient burial site to get one
>Its filled with the spirits of a race made extinct by his ancestors
>He fights them off and has a chance to destroy the thing keeping them "alive", but chooses not to becuz parallels

So good

Also this particular arc is where we saw the first Echidna besides Knuckles in the comic. For some reason, Doctor Finitevus in the Archie comics and Imperator Ix in Dark Brotherhood are also white. I guess it's just a fun colour for evil Echidnas.
