It wasn't before long tho, that despite her perceived poise and elegance as a huntress, Gael's true side came through.

Speaking of heels, RWBY Gael also got a few alternate outfits - some simple, some incredibly ornate. Always dressed for the (apparently, very formal) occasion!

Needless to say, it made me super happy! And I still have that happiness to this day. Though she's based in the #RWBY world, she kind of became her own thing too. And I loved that about her. She, like me now, certainly loved hunting large, dangerous monsters! (MHW, big fan lol)

I honestly didn't expect the amount of love that she suddenly garnered - people loved her design just as much as I did and she became the focus of a lot of Tumblr asks. This is the first known image of her famous "Kicky m'leg"~

RWBY Gael hit like a Muse Truck after a rough personal year, just kind of a "First Year Out of College, Holy S*** This Is the Rest of My Life?" paired with the normal anxiety. After seeking help & finding what brought me joy, she was right there ready for me to grab by the horns.

Wow - 4yrs ago to the day, and I still haven’t come up with a design that slaps *quite* like RWBY Gael. There’s something lovely about all that coordination of reds. I do miss her.

@katiesimrell I made Lum the Little Lighthouse aka “Searchlight” awhile back, her hair was made out of fiber-optics and she could release light at will !

#drawingwithADHD - I hyperfixate on a work, often 8, 10+ hrs, skipping meals. It’s not healthy, but weirdly zen and enjoyable having that kind of focus. Also....millions upon millions of WIP that will never see the light of day, and 0 effort into backgrounds 👀💧
