Another intriguing find.
There is a GAME00.TIM, in low-res 256x256px using 58 colors (if CS6 is correct), that seems to show an EXTREMELY early version of the game, likely using a test map.
I had to reassemble it by hand to make out what it is.
Reminds me of some concept art.

Little something fun for #MOTHER3 fans tonight. A guy (єchσєs) pointed out that HAL might've reused some textures directly from EarthBound 64 in Super Smash Bros. Melee's Onett. If true, it wouldn't be the first instance of assets recycled from EB64 (2nd slide: @Obsidian_Plague).
Mega Man Legends' (or is it?) cutscenes look great with the widescreen's options set on on the ePSXe 2.0.5 emulator.
