The RX-78 has aged fantastically for a robot from the late '70s. The fact that they feel the need to overdesign it for "updated" kits always feels wrong, even the RG/MG 3.0, which is a design I still like in a vacuum.

We really don't appreciate the original Gundam for having some amazing shot compositions just in Episode 1 *alone*
It gets a lot of slack for its off-model moments, but when it peaks—It peaks.
