Where Mason and Naomi's story happens in 3030, Astryd's is during the golden age of pirates! Her village was raided by pirates and she was taken as a (permanent) hostage when she was a toddler, and eventually took over as captain when the old one passed on.

Naomi is a user of technomancy and uses it both for good and for her own purposes. She drains money out of corporations that she thinks don't deserve it and uses that money so she doesn't have to work, donating the rest of it to charity at the end of the year.

Mason is capable of gastromancy, magic involving the creation, alteration, or manipulation of food! He can make things that weren't originally safe to eat edible, or create anything from weapons and creatures to bounce pads or furniture to suit his needs.

Unlike myself, Mason is entirely unconcerned with how other people view him, so he'll happily cosplay as women or men, regardless of his body type!
