DAREDEVIL #173: A pair of reporters is attacked by a man in a leather mask, and Matt’s current client, Melvin Potter (formerly the Gladiator) is wrongly accused. And as it turns out, the real culprit is responsible for putting his secretary Becky Blake in a wheelchair years ago.
DAREDEVIL #171: The Kingpin is back in town, and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to get his wife back from the mob. But Bullseye has it out for him, and his own gang has been infiltrated by Daredevil in disguise. It’s just not his week!
DAREDEVIL #170: The Kingpin is retired in Japan with his wife Vanessa, and looking to turn state’s evidence to gain immunity. Vanessa travels to NY to hire Matt Murdock for legal representation, but Is kidnapped by the mob to lure Kingpin to them, where Bullseye will be waiting.
DAREDEVIL #169: Bullseye has escaped custody, and is more dangerous to the population at large than ever before. Thanks to a cancerous brain tumor, he’s lost his grip on reality, and everyone he sees is Daredevil in his mind!
DAREDEVIL #168: Daredevil is hunting down a criminal named Wallenquist, but someone *else* is after the same man—the dangerous bounty Hunter Elektra, Matt Murdock’s college flame, in her first appearance!
This issue was wild. It starts with Morbius getting off the planet, then transitions to Pandemonium being stuck on the planet, then switches to the Fantastic Four arriving, before Comet Man finally shows up. And look at these kooky character designs!
FANTASTIC FOUR #315: The FF have teleported to a whole different planet, where Master Pandemonium has taken up unwilling residence, and he’s all too eager to throw down with Thing again after their previous encounter in the pages of WEST COAST AVENGERS.
I’ve said before that a reprint of FF #1 was the first comic I ever read, and that’s likely why they are my favorite team, Thing is my favorite character, and Mole Man is one of my favorite villains. But I have also always loved the design of the Moloids.
INCREDIBLE HULK #340: In an unseasonable snow storm in Texas (part of a series of unnatural weather patterns around the country), Hulk runs into Wolverine, and their old rivalry heats up again. Elsewhere, the Leader and Half-Life are up to no good.
