FANTASTIC FOUR #303: Thundra recruits the Thing to help her in the 23rd Century in dealing with a prisoners revolt. In thanks for his assistance, her super-scientists send Thing to an alternate timeline, just before SECRET WARS, to try to right a few wrongs.
WOLVERINE #7: Sabretooth has ahold of the artifact that will give him godlike power, but it’s stolen...by a monkey. Wolverine gets his paws on it and is besieged by variant versions of himself, just as his cover is blown.
WOLVERINE #6: Wolverine and his small team of criminals land on Madripoor to catch up to Sabretooth before he can get his hands on the artifact he’s chasing. Then all he has to do is notify the authorities and they’ll take over... but where’s the fun in that?
WOLVERINE #5: Wolverine gets his first tattoo, and then tussles with Thor, who demands answers for Wolverine’s recent villainous actions.
WOLVERINE #4: The Offer is finally ready to get in Sabretooth’s way of acquiring what he so desperately wants, and Wolverine is on board... now that he’s established his cover.
WOLVERINE #3: Sabretooth is after a mysterious artifact that can give him all of the power he craves. Meanwhile, Wolverine recalls the last moments of his old life before joining forces with the Offer and his men.
WOLVERINE #2: Having executed a reporter for threatening to expose the Offer’s operation, Wolverine has demonstrated that he is fully invested in the new team. Also: some sage(?) advice from the Superior Spider-Man!
WOLVERINE #1: Wolverine, now a mortal without a healing factor, has to start thinking about the future. He’s taken to wearing body armor, wielding a gun, and working alongside a team under the guidance of the Offer, a mob boss with a penchant for making offers you can’t refuse.
THE PUNISHER #5: The cartel’s assault on Los Angeles begins, as Electro cuts the power supply to the entire city, open season is declared on the authorities, and the chemical weapons are strategically placed and ready for detonation.
