I guess this long-winded tweet was just a way to express how amazing this fandom has been for me. I'm glad I've been able to make it into something positive for myself and hopefully others! Thank you all for being on this journey with me, and I'm excited to see where it goes!

Having a fursona (or three lol) has been such a cathartic and expressive experience, and it fills me with joy every time someone draws them. It's a pure expression of myself. The couple cons I've been to were such a blast, and I learned how to make my own fursuit head!

I met my amazing boyfriend through the fandom. He's so sweet and caring, and I love him with all my heart. I've also met so many wonderful furry friends. The struggles of grad school can make it hard to see them sometimes, but I know they have my back and I love them.

I meant to make a post like this on my sona's birthday in January, but my own birthday works too. It's been a year (plus some) since I dove into the furry fandom by making a fursona and commissioning a ref sheet of him. It's been such a positive part of my life.
