working on some more assets for the project; I'm toying with hand drawn detail directly on the assets I've been modeling in Blender, and they're coming out better than I was expecting them to!

Progress update. I'm likely going to throw this model back into blender and sculpt the hilt a bit more so it's truer to the original art, but either way I'm pretty happy with where it's going so far.
UV mapped the sword tonight; still have to make slight adjustments to it, but it's nearly ready to be thrown into substance painter. Gotta say, working on the geometry of this model has been a fun challenge so far!
slowly getting back into the groove and modeled the base of the handle of @honnojis's sword tonight; nothing too difficult, but it was a good way for me to re-focus on studies after a long break.
I think it's safe to say that I hit a milestone tonight; first time texturing a personal project of mine, and it's turning out pretty well!
I'm finally comfortable in calling myself a beginner 3D artist. 😄
