pastel is hard, this is now toothpaste looking world. TvT is not the best first introduction.

Interdimensional travel, it's fairly simple in concept. No matter what world, there is always gates. They are unique due to the fact, these places exist in-between space and time. Normally somewhat sacred places, that hold anomalous abilities.

The villains for chapter 3, black cat and cat griffin. as there are newer enough cats in the story.
