So many images of women with cigarettes. The reason being it was both marketed and viewed as an expression of female independence and even rebellion. Smoking was therefore often symbolic in female artists' work.

Thinking of selling limited addition signed prints of my 'Rook' artwork via @womensart1 to raise money for my research work on the project. 4 years now without funding but much time, energy, resources needed. Good idea? Just sold 3 original artworks this morning-feels great.
