Sprites. The Sonic and Tails sprites are not official, they're from a fan project that I contribute to sometimes. I did these early Surge and Kit designs in the style to see if they worked- was there too much detail? Did it make them cluttered? Did they have too many colours?

Any concepts at this point weren't being shown to Ian or editorial really, it was just between me and @SpiritSonic and drawing very loose doodles. We didn't even have an idea of Kit, so I just drew a cheery Y2K Kit, and a random concept where he was inside a robot suit?
