It is very weird. It appears in the gallery of "Sonic Origins" together with this picture of the characters of the Sonic Shogakukan manga, but it doesn't look like it, and we don't know who drew it. So mysterious!

since I hadn't flattened the layers yet, thought people might like to see this. first did lineart and wash in one layer. flat colours in multiply on a layer on top. touch ups with brush on layer on top.
